We had the opportunity to trial some niche crops this year and part of a field was planted with pumpkins.
We wanted to grow something slightly out of the norm and something that was going to stretch the team’s growing ability.
The pumpkins grew with excellent results and due to the ability to water such crop, they flourished and produced larger than average pumpkins for what has been a very dry year.
We wanted to share these with the local community and therefore we donated a quantity to local schools and care homes for others to enjoy.
They were all greatly appreciated, and some fantastic artwork followed.
